Bueno!
I left Palawan to go to Boracay, a tropical paradise. Boracay one of the many islands in the philipines. It is particularly popular because of its 4.5 km white beach. It is composed of 3 barangays (small towns) called Balabag, Manoc-Manoc and Yakak. The island is about 8km long.
This is leaving the hostel in Puerto Princesa.

Y cargando esta maletota al hombro.
And carrying the heavy bag.
Los filipinos son personas de extremos jeje. Este es un ejemplo, temperatura exterior: 35 grados. Temperatura interior: modo congelar personas.
Filipinos like extremes. This is one example, temperature aoutside: 35 degrees. Temperature inside: freesing mode.
Arriving to the promised land!
This is one of the murals at the airport. After that, one has to pay enviromental tax(both arriving and leaving). There is also another tax that foreigners have to pay for every domestic flight.
From Caticaln airport, I caught a tuk-tuk (a motorbike with a cabin attached to it, where they can fit 1,2,... or as many people as desired). After the tuk-tuk, one has to take a boat as the one below
And then another tuk-tuk and finally this is what was wating for me.
And some vegetarian food.(Filipino definition)
And what I was looking forward to doing. I had to studied at night and in the morning before practicing. but it was worth it!
y este es el amanecer...
And the sunrise..

Y nos fuimos para el primer buceo...
And here we go...
This is a filipino restaurant suggested by my diving instructor.
There werent many vegetarian options, but they were very nice and made their best to give me something good.
this is a huge rock in white beach. It has a virgin and has stairs for people to go and pray. It is also teh house of thousands of fish.
My happines after the first diving day.
I went out to walk. there are two roads near the beach. It is a market biult for tourists. It is veryy epensiveee and seems like a different world than the one some roads ahead.
También se encuentran cosas como esta...
This is one of the things that the market offers...
Or this (the only place where I saw cheese during all my trip)
Y estos maniquis! Super cheveres.
The second day of teh course my instructor took lots of photos, these are some of them..
NEMO!!
That day I kept saying I want to try homemade filipino food. And I said it too many times that my instructor decided to offer me this. I ate it, I said it was good and everybody happy!.
I called "changua filipina", with teh difference that they dont put milk on it, but lots of chicken stock and noodles. And it is eaten with sweet bread.
*Changua is a soup made wilk onions, milk, bread, eggs and coriander and salt. Everything is mixed and boiled until it looks non-edible. It is and adquiered taste!.
I also wetn out to the street behind the fancy restaurants in teh beachfront. This is the filipino street where all locasl eat. they call it " the highway"(even google maps). 90% of vehicles are tuk-tuk and some of them have set routes and times.
Y lugo me fuí a la playa!
and then the beach.
this was waiting for me the net day.
I decided to go out walking around the island, like a marathon. Nobody here walks. First, because it is so cheap to catch a tuk-tuk. Second because it is warm and third because the definition of distance is that 100meters is tooo long.
Frutas en el camino...
Aweosme fruit on the road
El paisaje..
The landscape
una palya por ahí.
a random beach
y un humedal... que huele.... mmm
wetland...
Filipinos have good rice... very aromatic an delicious.
This beach is called bulabog. It is beautiful, but not many people go because the other is better. This one is where people practice watersports like kitesurfing.
Tuve que pagar para esta foto....
Y mi desayunoooooooooo al otro día
and my breakfast net day
the last day I went walking to puka shell beach. This is a beach with puka shells. these shells are the ones with a hole in the middle formed naturally by the waves in the breaking surf and coral rubble.
They are hard to find, only some other beaches in Hawai have them.
Some photos while walking
