Por lo general siempre empiezo con una descripción del lugar, pero Rio es bien conocido así que seré breve. Brasil es uno de los lugares mejores para visitar independiente de todos los problemas que tenga. Su gente es muy agradable, amigable, la comida... bueno hay buenas frutas. Sus paisajes son hermosos y el clima fue perfecto, ademas esta vez tuve la mejor compañia: Mi papá.
Este es uno de los viajes mas emocionantes que he hecho porque no había visto a kike hace tiempo ni tampoco viajado juntos. Rio nos recibió con los brazos abiertos, el norte de brasil(Lencois Maranhenses) nos recibió aun mejor y nos despedimos con mucha alegría de este país tan hermoso.
Rio es la segunda ciudad más grande de Brasil, después de Sao Paulo. Rio es famosa por sus playas Copacabana e Ipanema, también por la estatua del cristo redentor y por el cerro del pan de acucar y por el Carnaval que se lleva a cabo cada año en febrero. aaa y también por los arcos de lapa, la zona de Santa Teresa, entre muchas otras cosas.
Brasil is one of the best places I have ever visited, it people are friendly, helpful, happy and their food is... they have delicuos fruits. Brasilian landcapes are wonderful and its weather is perfect for those who like tropical enviroments. This time I had the best company ever: My dad. It was an inspiring trip to Rio and to the north part of Brasil(Lencois Maranhenses).
Rio is a very well-known city, so the dresciption will be brief. Rio is the second largest city in Brasil with Sao paulo being the first. Rio de Janeiro is a seaside city, famed for its Copacabana and Ipanema beaches, Christ the Redeemer statue and Sugarloaf and the its Samba carnival, whihc is considered the largest carnival in teh world. ah! it also has the Lapa and Santa Teresa zone, among thousand of more places.

Habiamos estado 12 horas en Rio, y llegó el momento de decirle a kike que esa misma noche volabamos para el norte de Brasil a conocer uno de los lugares más hermosos del mundo: Lencois maranhenses.... Al final accedió... y nos fuimos: 4 horas de vuelo y 5 horas en un bus ...
We had been 12 hours in Rio and it was time to tell my dad that we were flying that night to the north of Brasil.. to one of the most amazing places on earth: Lencois maranhenses.
and wait......... another plane? Yes, dad .. another 4 hours fligh to Sao Luis (north of brazil)... and then a 4-5 hours bus trip to Barreirinas..
Y finalmente un hotel.
And finally... a hotel!

Este es el rio que pasa por barreirinhas. El nombre es pereza, la razón del nombre es que es imposible descifrar hacia donde se mueve el agua,

and the next day we headed off to Lencois maranhenses park in this nice Toyota
Cruzamos un rio en un planchon.. todavia no hay puente para que los carros crucen
We crossed a river on a ferry... there is still not bridge.
Y en el siguiente video se ve como kike se dio cuenta de que había valido la pena la travesía de llegar hasta este lugar.

Esto se llama tapioca, es un pancake local que es hecho de una harina seca de yuca ... de alguna manera milagrosa esa masa seca se junta cuando se calienta y se vuelve un pancake! Y ellos le ponen el toque brasilero de mucha leche condensada con coco.
This is Tapioca, the local pancake... it is made out of a dried dough.. somehow they put some mandioca flour in a pan and it becomes a pancake. and brasilians add a BIT of condense milk :)

El siguiente dia nos fimos para la otra parte del parque...
The next day we went to the other part of the park....
It had rained the last night, so the sand looked different, but still beautfil
And I got dad to get in this motorbike and go to explore bareirinahs and get some food
El siguiente día nos fuimos de tour por el río. El tour fue desde el rió hasta la desembocadura del mar. y con algunas paradas hermosas en el camino.
The next day we went on a tour by the river... the tour went by the river to the sea... stopping at some interesting places on the way
Y entonces era hora de ir de vuelta a Rio, 5 horas en bus hasta Sao luis y luego 4 horas de vuelo y luego 4 horas en otro bus desde el aeropuerto hasta el aparrtamento.
And then back to Rio.. again 5 hours bus, 4 hours flying and 3 horus bus from the airpot to the hotel in Rio

Y dado que este viaje incluye una conferencia, tomamos un bus que tardó tres horas en llegar hasta allá... el tráfico es terrible... así era la cara de kike en el bus.
And as I was there for a conference, we caught a bus that took 3 hours to take us there. This was dad´s face when we were stuck in the traffic, which was for three hours.
Comida china-brasilera... no muy buena combinacion.

Y también fuimos a Niteroi, la ciudad al otro lado de la Bahía, una ciudad que yo consideró más tranquila que Rio.
We aslo went to Niteroi, a nearby city on the other side of the bay. It is a much more relaxing city with lots of stuff to do.
